Dala Airport – BLE
Dala Airport is a public and military airport located in Borlange, Dalarna, Sweden. It is also known as Borlange Airport and is found to the southeast of the city in the Dalarna Province in Sweden. It is also easily accessible from Falun. Owned by the local government and operated by the Dala Airport AB, it works under the IATA code BLE and the ICAO code ESSD. There is one runway, which measures 7,579 feet. In 2015, it handled a total of 26,804 passengers, most of them international passengers. Dala Airport sits at an elevation of 503 feet above mean sea level.

Built during World War II, the airfield was later modernized in 1961. A new terminal was added in the 1970s. Further renovations and modernization were added through the years. The main airlines that serve the airport include Air Europa and AIS Airlines. These operate flights to Malmo, Gran Canaria, and Palma de Mallorca. In addition to commercial scheduled flights, the airport also caters to private planes and chartered flights. A bus service connects the airport to downtown Borlange. Cities, towns, villages, and suburbs found near the airport include Kullsbjorken, Tallberg, Sater, and Falun.
