Formerly known as Barcelona-El Prat, the Barcelona-El Prat Josep Taradellas is an airport situated in the southwest of Barcelona, in the municipalities of Sant Boi, El Prat de Llobregat, and Viladecans. It has been named after former president Josep Taradellas of the Generalitat of Catalonia. Barcelona-El Prat Josep Taradellas is the second largest international airport in Spain and the first one in Catalonia. It beat the record of more than 50 million passengers and is sixth in line with the most number of passenger traffic on Europe in 2018.

The Barcelona-El Prat Josep Taradellas Airport has three takeoff and landing areas, therefore attaining three runways. It also has two passenger terminals. The Terminal 1 has a large of drinking and eating options to choose from compared to Terminal 2. There are also a lot of cafeterias in the airport, three of which are open 24/7. A new range of shopping stores is also available in Terminal 1, which can be seen after passing through the security. Terminal 2 has the VIP Lounge that offers free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, free snacks and two computers with internet access.
