Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport with code AMD is located in the cities of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, India. Its name was taken from the first Prime Minister of the country. Every year, the airport has over 11 million passengers. For this reason, it is the seventh busiest airport in the whole country. Go Air is the main airline operating in the hotel. A few years ago, the government is negotiating for the privatization of the airport. In 2017, it was awarded as “Most Improved Airport” in the region.

The airport was established in 1937 but international flights began in 1991. By the start of the millennium, it was considered as an international airport in terms of classification. Terminal 2 was inaugurated in 2010 and it was specifically created for international flights. Aside from Ahmedabad, the airport is also surrounded by the cities of Changodar and Kundal.
