Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, with airport code AMA, is located 10 km from downtown Amarillo, Texas. The airport is serving counties of Potter and Randall. In 2003, the airport was renamed to an astronaut, Rick Husband who died in Space Shuttle Disaster that happened the same year.

After the air force based was deactivated in 1969, major renovations were done in the airport.
