Alta Airport with ALF code is considered as an international airport and found the city of Alta, Norway. The airport has only one runway measuring 7,392 ft. It is found in the southern area of Altafjord. The airport is owned and maintained by the government-owned company Avinor. According to the data gathered in 2014, the airport has served more 350,000 passengers making it the 5th busiest airport in Norway.

The airport is mainly served by two air carriers - Norwegian Air Shuttle and Scandinavian Airlines. There are daily direct flights going to major cities like Oslo and Tromso. The international charter flights are currently limited. The airport was built in 1943 as a military airfield but was damaged after the war. It took about two decades for the airport to reopen again. A new terminal building was constructed in 2009. The airport also serves the city of Hammerfest.
