About Ramee Hotels Al Nahda
Ramee Hotels is an Indian hotel chain founded by VardarajShetty AKA Raj Shetty. The Ramee Group began its operations in the early 1990s, which since grew into 52 total of hotels in India and the Persian Gulf. Raj was born in the small town of Kundapur, but he moved to Mumbai with his family where he lived most of his early life. His family was in the restaurants and food business, and he wanted to be in the hospitality industry so bad. When his father died in 1973, he got an education to push him forward to moving to Dubai when he was 18. That’s when he was exposed to the realities and more beauties in the hotel business. In 1997, he launched the Ramme Group of Hotels, Resorts, and Apartments.
In 2017, the group was already operating 42 properties in India, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Muscat. The flagship hotel of the group is the Regent Palace Hotel. This flagship hotel has set the standards for many other hotels in the industry ever since it was opened publicly. More constructions took place, expanding the group’s management even more. They have even entered the real estate development sector, hotel management contracting business, and travel agency operations.
