About Keys Hotels Kamsandra
Keys Hotels is comprised of full-service hotels managed by hospitality group Berggruen Hotels and with operations across India. The properties are positioned to operate mid-segment business hotels in the country.
Headquartered in Santacruz East, Mumbai, the hotel brand is an innovative concept by Sanjay Sethi and Berggruen Holdings, which was launched in September 2006. Keys Hotel Trivandrum, the very first hotel in its portfolio, opened its doors three years after the brand launch. It has today grown to 21 hotels spread to 19 big cities in India. Keys Hotels also owns two land parcels for hotel development at Raipur and Goa.
Targeted at business and leisure travelers, Keys Hotels are all strategically located in cosmopolitan cities, or next to serene temple towns, or close to the hills or the sea. One of its main attractions is its unique culinary concept called ‘Gharkaswaad’ where the kitchen staff adopts a home food preparation method primarily designed for guests who are missing that ‘home-cooked meal.’
Recently, mid-priced hotel chain Lemon Tree Hotels announced that it had inked a deal with Berggruen Hotels to acquire 100% stake in Keys Hotels in an undisclosed amount. The move was aimed at boosting Lemon Tree’s capacity by about a third.
