Fangchenggang, China: Tranquil and Picturesque Bay
Many people go to this beautiful border city of Fangchenggang, China because of its reputation as a connecting port to Vietnam and other ASEAN countries. Its landscape is largely coastal, priding itself with a magnificent view of the bay. There are no direct flights to Fangchenggan. Most visitors access the city through the Nanning Wuxu Airport. From Nanning, there are bus services that can take you directly to the city proper.
Best Time to Visit
All year round, visitors can expect good weather. But be aware that typhoons occur frequently around June to September. What to Do & Area Attractions
Most visitors come here to experience Yueliang Bay, where traditional boatmen can take you for a gentle early morning boat ride. You can head to the Dongxing City Stadium if you fancy a short trip to Vietnam. (Ask for the program called “Visit Exit procedure”.) In this area, you can catch a glimpse of the Gin ethnic minority group, which calls Dongxing their home. If you love flowers, the Golden Camellia Reserve is highly recommended. The nearest hotels are Jintan Hotel, Heng Tai Hotel and Jingdao Hotel. All of these hotels have modern facilities and are ten kilometres away from the Yueliang bay. Because this city is a progressive one, expect to have good enough internet services and uninterrupted electrical supply.
