They operate multiple properties and brands in the country including the Maldron Hotel Brand and the Clayton Brand. They also manage a portfolio of Dalata Partner Hotels which range from three star to four star properties.
The company was founded in 2007 by Pat McCann. Acquiring properties from Choice Hotels Ireland, the company rebranded their properties into the Maldron brand. As of 2019, the company’s portfolio consists of 28 hotels owned by Dalata, 9 hotels under lease agreements, and 2 under management agreements. In 2009, Dalata established the Dalata Management Services, which provides hotel operational and management services. It provides a complete hotel management solution for Dalata Partner Hotels that choose to continue running and operating under their own personal brand.
Since its founding, the company has continued to acquire hotel brands in the Ireland and UK. One of the company’s largest acquisitions to date is that of the Moran Bewley’s Hotel Group. They took in the 9 properties in the company’s portfolio. Many of its new properties have been re-branded as Clayton Hotels and as of 2017, Dalata Hotel Group owns 19 Clayton Hotels.
