Village & Life is a hospitality group offering quality accommodations, from three-star serviced apartments and guesthouses to luxurious five-star hotels in the Western Cape. Its portfolio is comprised of four distinct and elite properties within top destinations, including the West Coast, Langebaan, the V&A Waterfront Marina, Hermanus, DeWaterkant village, and Camps Bay. They all offer panoramic views of the surrounding waters.

Villages& Life started its operation in 1994 with the launching of the first Guest Street in De Waterkant in Cape Town.  This initiative, a brainchild of founder Maree Brink, is a village hospitality concept that brought Harbour View Cottages in a historical site that is known today as De Waterkant Village. Through Private Special Purpose Funds, South African Banks injected capital into tourism-related assets in De Waterkant, including the first seven houses. The village hospitality concept has slowly developed into a genuine ‘village experience’ that entices visitors to live like a local.

Our Serviced Places collection boasts a variety of authentic houses and apartments (with the addition of hospitality services) in Camps Bay, on the water’s edge of the V&A Waterfront Marina, the colorful and European influenced village of De Waterkant, the promenade of Mouille Point, the vibrant town of Hermanus and along the shoreline of the West Coast.
